My megacity is Manila. What is a megacity? A megacity is a city with a population of over ten million people. Manila is the capital of the Philipines and is located in the Pacific Ocean. This gives them direct access to shipping and trade with other cities such as Hong Kong. Natural resources play a major role in contributing to the growth rate, fisheries, forestry and agriculture make up more than 30% of employment. Manila’s  main resources are gold, copper, zinc, lead, & iron ore. The main way Manila trades, is through agriculture export, which means the export of any agricultural goods, such as fruits, soyban meal, and wheat. The thing that most suprised me throught this project is that the housing in Manila is mostly unlivable, with inpropper sewage, water, and electricity. More than 100,000 people in Manila including children are without a homeless.
