Be The Quote

One of our quotes in class was “Don’t let your ice cream melt while your counting other peoples sprinkles”.

I think this quote means don’t be greedy, appreciate what you have, and only look at other peoples food to see if they have enough.

I think this quote could be useful at an ice cream shop were if your friend got more sprinkles then you, don’t count to see if they have more sprinkles then you because your ice cream would  melt and that would suck.

Also if your friend has more sprinkles than you you should just be happy for them and not jealous.

Enjoy your ice cream.

Music

In music class we are doing projects on songs and on singers.  Sasha and me did a project together on Shawn Mendes , we talked about how old he is, it turns out he is 21 and his birthday  is August 8 1998, he started singing in 2013 after posting his first cover video to vine. It was very interesting to hear other peoples projects. we also got to try Mr.G instruments like the piano, guitar, electric guitar and banjo. next week we are learning how to play  the recorder. I hope it will be fun.

Gym

In gym  we are learning how to shoot a basket ball. Mr. Ray our gym teacher taught us that we have to keep our elbows in when we shoot. He also told us to think of B.E.E.F, the B stands for balance, which means  we have to keep our feet shoulder width apart, and if you are right handed you should  have your right foot a tiny bit forward. If you are left handed  you should have your left foot a little bit forward. The E stands for elbow in when you shoot. The other E stands for eyes witch means to always look where you want the ball to land before you shoot. Finally the F stands for follow through which means finish the stance and shoot.

Art Class

In art class we are drawing and water coloring cyclopes. First we got a piece of paper and folded it it into four columns going down, then on the top column we drew a big circle as the cyclops’s head. Then we drew his arms coming out just below the bottom half of the circle going threw the second column and just barely in to the third column. After that  you draw his chest and stomach starting at the top of his arm on both sides and stop at the third column. Then you must draw his belt on  the bottom half of his stomach, and draw a wavy line from his belt to the top of the fourth column on both sides, and then a wavy line connection the first two wavy lines. That acts as the skirt and two legs with toes coming out of the skirt to the bottom of the page. Finally add nails to his fingers and toes then hair to his head as a beard and hair and finally give him an eye some teeth and a mouth. Now if you want to get fancy draw tiny sheep on the ground and a cave behind him. Go over it with sharpie and add your water color then let it dry for a day and add another layer of paint (use the same color)  let it dry again and your done.

Social Studies

In  social studies, we are learning about democracy, and in class we split the class in half and made two teams. The first team were the people who wanted to build the extension  on the Chateau Laurier, and the other team were the people who didn’t  want the extension to be built. So our teacher gave each team ten minutes to say and come up with a reason why or why not they wanted the Chatea Laurier to be kept the same or be renovated. So the teams came up with three reasons here are some examples of what the team that wanted the Chateau Laurier to be renovated are:

-We want it to have more rooms in it because people from all over the world come to stay in it.

-We want it to look old and new not just old.

-Also it is our property so we can do what we want with it.

-It is also cheaper.

And here are some of the reasons the people who didn’t want the Chateau Laurier to be renovated are:

-We don’t want you to build the extension because if you look over from Quebec you will see the extension and it looks bad.

-Also you will take up more of the trees space to grow and then will have to cut them down and if you run into and bird or  squirrel nest it is illegal also the fine is 5,750.

-Also it looks bad.

The Pirate, The princess and Me The Rat.

I think that the story The Pirate,The Princess and Me The Rat by Linda Bailey is fiction because on the first page there is a picture of the Rat with axsories. The Rat also says on page 1 “ I’m doing my happy dance happy happy” and Rats can’t dance, then, on page 5, it says the Rat and the Princess became friends and that is very unlikely.

That is why I think this story is fiction.

The End

How Fast The Man Runs

In math class today our  teacher told us to make a story about a graph so I did and this is my story for the graph I chose to do today in math class .So here is my story .

There once was a man who started his daily run with a jog, and then with a run and a sprint. Then he evened it out again, with a steady run again and then brought it down to a jog, and finally  started sprinting again and sprinted a few miles. After that he  brought it down to a steady run and slowed his pace. Then later he started up again with a jog, and finally ended with a steady run. Then ended his daily run back at his house.
